Search for the Center of the Universe
19"x30", white clay, oxides, 2018
We use to watch with Sasha, my younger son, a starry sky and listened to Stephen Hawkins. I followed his curiosity and that wonder brought me to this project.
The universe is expanding and this process started at the beginning of Creation. I've assumed that various kind of waves caused by the original event could be traced. Based on properties of those waves the point where they have been initiated (the Center) could be found. If I through a stone into a pond and take a photo shot of the waves after that, I can easily locate the point of the impact even if it's not seen anymore.
I developed the ordinal piece and titled it “Search of the Center of the Universe II” and it was selected for VIII Beijing International Art Biennale 2019 (below).
